I figured I was taking a gamble with these by getting two for so cheap; turns out I was right. The actual construction of the light (inside the housing) differs from the OEM model. One of the most important difference is the supporting "arm" that uses a ball/socket joint to aim the light. When I was attempting to aim the lights I almost had the beam in the right place when it just dropped to the lowest position. I figure I had just gone too far and would have to try again. Oh man, was I right.

Inside the light there is a screw that has the ball portion of the joint at the end of it. The screw had gone THROUGH this plastic piece providing me with no way of aiming the headlight. I checked the other headlight and while the screw had not penetrated the ball joint, the socket portion was spread too wide and too weak to actually hold the ball in place. I compared it to the construction of the OEM headlights I still had and the plastic quality was immensely better on the original lights. The ball/socket joints were intact and strong versus cheap and pliable.

I noticed a sticker on the top of the light claiming "VAIP Warranty" but I was unable to find any contact information for this company whatsoever (spent about 2 hours scouring the Internet). So instead I decided to decide this loss into a win. I used a popular "baking" method to remove the lenses from these and replace the heavily oxidized OEM lenses. Turns out they were somewhat useful...
