Unfortunately I thought I could install without drilling, even though the instructions say its required. I did not want to drill into my frame, so I just used a file and made a slot big enough for the blocks to go in.
A side note about shipping, its a big heavy steel part...so naturally it got dropped and dragged in shipping. The paint on the edges got chipped off, which sucks considering this is at the rear of your vehicle, getting soaked in water every time it rains. Plan ahead and get some Krylon paint to touch it up.
I would definitely recommend this product, Draw-Tite has been #1 in my book for as long as I can remember.
