CURT Manufacturing 56075 T-Connector Review

The connectors on it matched the connectors on our 2006 Escape Hybrid exactly. The only area where the instructions fell short were in recommending ways to run the power wire from the battery in the front of the car to the control module in the back of the car. This kit was made for the Escape, I believe, so instructions or at least recommendations would have been useful. I don't like running wires outside the car body because that makes them very vulnerable to damage, so I found a route from the engine bay into the passenger compartment by poking the wire through the rubber boot which surrounds the hood release cable. It wasn't easy, but it is doable. Then I removed lots of inside door sill trim and kick panel trim and ran the wire under that stuff all of the way to the back, and then out through the rubber grommet supporting the tail light cable.
Once wired it worked perfectly from the very first time.
