Old Lens:
The 4th generation 97-99 camry utilizes a fluted headlight design. The old lens cause mostly glare and barely any light reaches the road, giving me eye strain and a lot of stress during nighttime driving. If there are no street lamps on the side of the road, I'm better off with night vision goggles.

Installation:
There are YouTube videos on how to install new headlight assemblies for this Camry, I watched those a few times before attempting to install the new headlights. A socket wench is highly recommended, but I was able remove the bolts using an adjustable wench. The passenger side fits perfectly. However, on the driver side, the corner light wouldn't fit by half an inch. I adjusted all the bolts and still couldn't get a 100% fit. As a result, the corner light push-pin clip couldn't go in all the way, but it is still secure.

Adjustments:
Again, a socket wench is highly recommended, but I had a small 8mm wench and manually adjusted the height of the headlights. This was a pain because I could only turn a quarter circle each time. Clockwise for up, Counter-clockwise for down.

Overall:
I'm not an expert and I dont have a socket wench, so it took me about 2 hours for installation and adjustments. I was about to give this new headlight 4 stars due to the fitment, but after seeing the new light output. I decided to give it 5 stars. I decided to upgrade because I plan to keep the Camry a long time for chores such as groceries and going to the gym.

Other thoughts:
Because of my bad experiences with the 99 Camry headlight. I did a lot of internet research on headlights such as bulb types, halogens, projector halogens, and Xenon lights. I now make sure that any car I own in the future must have sufficient lighting. My newer car has Xenon lights.
