ok, so I installed this on my 2004 Chevy Silverado z71 a few weeks ago. I liked them, but they aren't as bright as I would have liked. They do have a straight cut off like I wanted but they project very poorly (as compared to my old stock fog lights). Without my headlights on, they can be noticed, but my old stock fog lights where capable of allowing me to drive without my main headlights on (brightness, not how far the light was thrown). I also installed some HID's in them (the bulbs wouldn't fit due to the HID's having a very long connecting cable in the back so I had to cut the little covering off to get them to fit) and they don't throw as much as I would like. I bought a similar kit for my high beam lights and they are very bright and brilliant white. I think it might have something to do with the housing itself since it was build to hold a H3 bulb and did come with them, I had replaced them with a H3 HID conversion bulb (from what I understand they should have fit). I have since decided to use the projector retrofit I bought for my low-beam headlights for my fog lights since I am not really ok with how the projector fog lights had treated me.Keep this in mind when buying these. You WILL have to modify the back covering if you are going to use a HID conversion bulb in them (it is big enough for the H3 bulb that it comes with but not for the extra length from the back of the new HID H3 Bulbs). I don't know how they look with the stock H3 bulb in them, but if they throw out the light in a similar fashion and intensity as with the HID's...I wouldn't expect them to throw much light as all.
They do bolt up with the stock two bolts that hold in the stock fog lights. They kind of don't really line up with the Air dam like the stock fog lights do but you wont notice it unless you are all up right next to them like when you would be installing them.
when adjusting them, have someone help you since you wont really be able tell the height of the cut off line. aim them down the street and guess from there....a very small adjustment means feet of vertical distance 200 feet down the road.
in the picture, they are upside down, they bolt up on the top of the light itself.
these are for the silverado/avalanche trucks that had the newer headlights on them that are side by side (low-beam and high-beam) with the small angle going up from the middle.
