12 Winch Motor for WARN Keyed Shaft HEAVY DUTY 8274 Review

I have 10,000 lb. winch and the motor magnets fell out and destroyed the motor, The company I bought it from could not furnish parts or tell me where to find them. From the website and calling the company (DB Electrical) I ordered the motor that closely resembles mine.
I had to fabricate an adapter plate and machine the shaft but it works great. Since it had field coils instead of magnets I had to wire it differently. Since the website had the wiring schematics this was no problem. I did need to replace the contractor switches so I used 4 old Ford type automotive starter switches. The winch works better now than it ever did. I'm happy.

50" Carbon Steel Roof Rack Cargo Cross-Bars Review

These bars are very easy to install but WOW they are very loud. I've had several over the years and none whistled as loud as these. Not even close. So upon further determination (driving around with my arm reached out of the window) I found that I could "plug" the void around the tightening knobs with my finger to eliminate 90% of the noise. So I tied some paracord around the bar and knobs and now its MUCH MUCH better. Hardly a noise at all. Obviously a design flaw. I wish I would have bought different bars that do not have this void surrounding the knobs (like some on ebay). The dang knobs would even whistle while sitting in the driveway with a stiff breeze. The length of the bars fit perfectly on my ML320.

Wow! At half the price of OEM this is the way to go. There is no difference and actually some of the internal fittings seem better quality than the OEM it replaces. The only thing is the connection at the lens to body is not quite as smooth as the OEM but its inside and is barely visible under the plastic. At first I thought it was a bit rough but looking at the OEM it is only a bit more rough as the original is not perfect either. In any case no one can see that unless you are studying the thing at a distance of less than 1 foot.

TaoTronics TT-CM03 4.3" TFT-LCD Car Rear View Monitor with Baffle for Backup Cameras Review

I used with the TaoTronics TT-CC17 CMOS Car license plate frame mounted Rear view Camera. I mounted in a Honda 20002 CRV. My only complaint is that the power and ground wires are too small a gauge and difficult to make a secure connection with the power and ground in the car. I put a pin male connector on the ends and matted with a female connected to a 14 gauge wire that runs to the backup lights. Resolution of the monitor is good. I have only had for a few weeks but it works fine.
