Right after my wife backed into our garbage can, breaking our passenger side tail light, I called the local Jeep dealership to see if they had a replacement. I wasn't particularly concerned, only the plastic shell had broken, the bulbs and more vital structures within were entirely intact. I didn't know at the time that the entire thing is one self-contained unit, and even if I had I still would not have been prepared for their price for a single tail light. Suffice it to say that this PAIR of assemblies are slightly less expensive than ONE stock version. I liked the idea of using this unfortunate situation as an opportunity to effectively upgrade the look of our 2002 Liberty Limited, and that (by my eye) is absolutely what we've accomplished with the Anzo. With a clear exterior and nothing but black, red, and silver inside, what you end up with is a much sleeker and even sophisticated style on the rear of the vehicle. I am generally not a fan of third-party aftermarket aesthetic mods to a vehicle like this, but the Anzo USA 211108 looks terrific, and we turned a bad situation (broken tail light) into a real positive in the end.I'm very happy with the look and the brightness (they're more so than the original assemblies, without being too bright). They're fully weather/humidity sealed (and certified as such), since installing them we've seen temps as low as high 20s and as high as the 70s -- all within the space of a couple days -- with a wide range of pressures and humidity, and there's no sign whatsoever of any sort of condensation or fogging inside the lights (that's something I've seen on cheap aftermarket lights in the past, and it's clear to me now that these are of better construction than even the originals). They were extremely easy to put on, they're as securely mounted as the originals (they mount the exact same way, everything is lined up perfectly. I really have nothing negative to say. I wouldn't have made this change had the original not broken, but I'll admit (even to my wife) that I'm sort of glad that it happened as this is the end result.
Highly recommended.
One last note! You need a Torx #20 bit to turn the screws that hold the original in place (and you'll be re-using them to secure the Anzos). I grabbed the Milwaukee 48-32-1700 Insert Bit Screw Driving Set, 20-Piece at the same time I bought the tail light, and it contained the necessary bit for use in a drill or driver.
