The headlights look pretty good. They definitely make the car look more updated when compared to OEM stock halogen headlights. I chose the chrome finish over the black finish and I don't regret it. I saw another 4runner on the street with the same mod in the black version. It looked good, but in my opinion, the black headlights makes the car look cheaper/riced out. The chrome lights look more OEM, but different and newer.Funcytionally, the main driving lights are not as bright and the beam coverage isn't as wide as the OEM halogen headlights. It doesn't use the same light bulb from the OEM headlights. The main driving lights look like HID, but the light color is not white and it is not as bright as HID. I live in an area with lots of street lamps so it's sufficient for day to day driving. If you live in a rural area or take your vehicle offroad, I don't know how you would feel about less bright headlights. The highbeam isn't adjustable, like the OEM, and it seems to be as bight as the OEM and projects just as far down the road.
I read other users said the headlights may leak thru the seal, so I sealed the headlights before I installed it with silicon I bought from home depot. The temperature range for the silicon for outdoor home use is more than sufficient for headlight use. So far, after 1 month, no leak, no problems.
During installation, one headlight didn't line up correctly and the gap between the light and the body panel were too wide. I had to use my Dremel to widen one of the screw hole a little bit on the mounting arm for one of the headlights. The other headlights fit perfectly. If you are handy, you can do the same if you run into any problems. If you break anything, you can use Fiberfix to fix the broken piece and drill a new hole. Fiberfix cures to a super strong finish, hard as a rock. Wiring was very easy with the included part. I wrapped plenty of electrical tape and coated it with liquid electrical tape for a waterproof finish.
Installation took me 2-3 hours to replace the lights, mainly due to figuring out how to take the trim pieces off to take off the headlights. Once it's off, you know how to put it back. I recommend buying extra plastic fastener to replace those that will snap off broken.
