I did not use this as a tow bar as designed. It's a project. I couldn't buy the parts for what I paid for the assembled unit. Seems good and sturdy except the pin that holds the assembly to the bracket appears to be aluminum which there are 2 of and if they broke would be disastrous. There is a lot of free play in the bracket that looks like it could cause the pins to fail. Still a good deal for the price and you could probably find a hardened steel pin to replace the aluminum ones.
